    There are a variety of biases and more general problems (e.g. I predict now for a future "I" that will be a different person). Best book I know on this is "Stumbling On Happiness"

    not yet refined an articulated discussion on this yet, but I will in time for a skype conversation. There is a great book on this in behavioral economics called "predictably irrational", by dan ariely. Well worth a read.

    Its easy to say that we should control ourselves. But if its endless needling and then there is a limit. We either break or try to fight. Its never easy to keep in control always.
